Common questions

How long does Grok Bot Marketplace review take?

There are not enough reports yet to give a number (2 so far, as of 18 October 2026). Open for submissions since 14 Oct 2026, through one form at x.ai/bot/marketplace. You give a remote MCP server URL or a public GitHub repo, a square logo on a background, a short description and testing instructions (with test credentials if it needs sign-in), and choose where to be listed: Grok Bot, Cursor, or Grok (coming soon). Submitting accepts Cursor’s Marketplace Publisher Terms, which say the plugin must be free to users. There is no status page: xAI reviews each submission and follows up by email.

How do I submit a connector to the Grok Bot marketplace?

Since 14 October 2026, through the form at x.ai/bot/marketplace/submit-a-plugin. It asks for a remote MCP server URL or a public GitHub repo, a square logo on a background, a description and testing instructions of up to 600 characters each, and where to be listed: Grok Bot, Cursor, or Grok (coming soon). Include test credentials in the testing instructions if your server needs sign-in. xAI follows up by email.

I already opened a pull request or used Cursor’s form. Do I need to resubmit?

Yes, unless you are already live. A developer asked exactly that on 14 October 2026, and shub from the Grok Bot team answered: “Worth resubmitting if you’re not already live!”

Is this the same as the Grok plugin marketplace on GitHub?

No. Plugins for Grok Build go in as pull requests to xai-org/plugin-marketplace, and we count that queue directly on the Grok Plugins page. The Grok Bot form has no public queue, so the numbers here come from reports.

The form says browser verification failed. What do I do?

The form runs a browser check before it sends, and its own error message says to disable any ad blockers and try again.
